SEAI PV Grant Updated

New changes to the grant amounts currently available from the SEAI for Solar PV Systems will come into effect on Thursday, 19th December.

The main change for homeowners to note is that the maximum grant available for applications made after 19th December will be €3,000 rather than €3,800.

• Grant for 0-2kWp of solar will increase to €900 per kWp installed (pro rata)
• Grant for 2-4kWp of solar will decrease to €300 per kWp installed (pro rata)
• Grant for battery installation will decrease to €600
• To be eligible for a grant, the BER rating of the home post works must be a BER C or better

To avail of the current grant amounts for larger systems, you must apply to the SEAI before 19th December, installation of the system must be completed and paperwork submitted by 31st January.
